VIA Transit account and data deletion
Option 1 — Delete directly in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the VIA Rider app:
- Open the VIA Rider app
- Tap Account (bottom navigation)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm when prompted
Your account will be deleted immediately. All personal information (name, email, phone number, payment methods) is anonymized at the moment of deletion.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, email us from the address associated with your account:
Email support@yisraeltech.comInclude your registered email address in the message. We will process your request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Name, email address, and phone number — deleted immediately
- Password and login credentials — deleted immediately
- Saved payment methods — deleted immediately
- Active and unused tickets — voided immediately
- Wallet balance — forfeited (contact support before deleting if you have a remaining balance)
- Transaction history — retained in anonymized form for Federal Transit Administration compliance (7-year minimum)
