Delete Your Account

VIA Transit account and data deletion

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all purchased tickets, wallet balance, and trip history.

Option 1 — Delete directly in the app

The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the VIA Rider app:

  1. Open the VIA Rider app
  2. Tap Account (bottom navigation)
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm when prompted

Your account will be deleted immediately. All personal information (name, email, phone number, payment methods) is anonymized at the moment of deletion.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app, email us from the address associated with your account:

Email support@yisraeltech.com

Include your registered email address in the message. We will process your request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Name, email address, and phone number — deleted immediately
  • Password and login credentials — deleted immediately
  • Saved payment methods — deleted immediately
  • Active and unused tickets — voided immediately
  • Wallet balance — forfeited (contact support before deleting if you have a remaining balance)
  • Transaction history — retained in anonymized form for Federal Transit Administration compliance (7-year minimum)
